I can't recall reading anything written specifically about these two makers, though I'm sure there's something about F. Goffriller in Pio's Venetian Makers book. I'm travelling right now so I don't have access to my library, but when I get back to the office in mid-August I'll see if I can find anything about these two makers.

I just checked Pio's book, and he cites documentation showing that Matteo had two brothers named Andrea and Francesco Comel and a son named Francesco. According to Pio, it was the son Francesco who later moved to Udine and put his own labels on instruments, not the brother Francesco, who may also have worked in the bottega. The son Francesco was born in 1691 and moved to Udine at the age of 22. He died sometime before 1755.
