Hello,

Karlburg is a part of the city of Karlstadt, and apparently this city was named Karlburg in the 17/18th century. The city is located in Main-Spessart in Germany/Bavaria.

gedeckelt (?) means that you put a cap/top on a pot. in terms of violins it might be that you cover an area that is surrounded by wood maybe.

best
