German,french.....? Please anyone take a look to this violin. Strange 2 pieces back, and nothing else interesting.I am a beginner into violins and have no ideea about its provenience.Thank you all for helping....

hello,
as there are no people commenting i will start..
to me it looks german, but, only to refer to your photos, not really special (>faqs) .. that does not mean that it might not have a nice sound... i think you know already that it is not a strad the way you asked in the article. to me it does not look french..
the back is made with a wood including a knot that is placed in the center. that looks pretty nice and you can discover it on various instruments. a befriended luthier of mine thinks that this wood sometimes has better tonal qualities, until now i could not really agree to that (i think it does not influence the sound very much if there are this knots inside..). for sure some people might like the other appearance which is also important and gives the instrument a bit of a more personal character.
