Hi,
I am looking for some information on a violin that has been in my family since at least the turn of the century. It is inscribed inside on paper David Tecchler Fecit Romae Anno Dui 1722. My mother was Swiss and she used this instrument as a child. I am looking for the best place to sell this item to settle her estate, I have not found any very recent prices on his violins. Any information that you provide would be appreciated.

I have some pictures in an album at this site. Sorry, I should have had them up previously. I think you just click the link.

I have sold two violins by David Tecchler in the last year, as well as handling the sale of a cello by Tecchler two years ago. I am very familiar with his work and if you post photos or send them to me at wgvi.com (you can also see photos of one Tecchler there in my archives section) I may be able to assist you.

| I couldn't see the album, because they make everybody register to see albums on that site (use google albums or yahoo), but I saw enough to say that it is a German copy from ca.1900.
