Hello everybody, I'm new here.

I recently found my grandfathers old violin hidden away in and old storage. Knowing nothing of violins, I just thought it'd be fun to bring it back home to me. One string is missing, and the wooden piece that holds the strings on place is loose.

Just by chance, i glanced in through the body, and saw this label:

Modèle après.
Jean Baptiste Vuillaume à Paris
3 rue Demours-Ternes

And on the right side of the label, there is a sign that looks like a B, a cross, and a V, all in a circle.

I decided too google the name "Jean Baptiste Vuillaume" and I landed here, and saw some of the prices.

Now, I'm guessing it's just a replica...but you never know, right? You guys are a lot better at this than me, I know nothing of violins.

Here are some pictures of the violin:

Thanks for any answers.
