The images being displayed on Cozio.com were taken with a handheld digital camera and then reduced for quick viewing so they are not of the greatest quality. However, if you need higher-quality images of a specific instrument, you can contact the Archives department at the Smithsonian Institution and they will, for a fee, make high-quality scans of the original photos.
