Luthier / Bowmaker

Francesco Emiliani (b c1680; d 1736) , Rome
"As was the case with most of the Roman makers of his day, Francesco Emiliani took the Stainer model as his principal inspiration. There is also a strong similarity in his work to that of David Tecchler, his better-known contemporary, although no formal link has been established."  (excerpted from Four Centuries of Violin Making by Tim Ingles.)
